Who are we?

OffPOD is a specialist in modular build systems designing and building luxury garden rooms and modular extensions. By using the best materials and our modular build systems we are able to design, build and install strong lasting structures with reduced lead times, disruption and cost. With remote working looking as though it is going to play a key role in our future, we aim to help our residential customers add extra space and value to their homes while encouraging positive changes to their lifestyles. Our B2B customers can rest assured that we are here to work alongside their team to achieve their goals.

Our Mission.

Having grown tired with unreliable tradesmen and build methods we are aiming to disrupt the construction industry. For too long customers have accepted compromises on timelines, price and quality. We want property development to be exciting rather than terrifying and no customer should have their life’s investment or latest venture held to ransom.

The Directors

Chris Willis

Chris has worked in management for multiple international companies including Coca-Cola across business development, procurement, contract management and operations. Additionally, he has established and run successful e-commerce businesses by utilising his procurement background to deliver quality products from around the globe at a lower cost for his customers.

Having a penchant for finding efficiencies and a stickler for consistent quality customer service, Chris was shocked by his own experiences with the construction industry. After being repeatedly let down, misled on price and left with a product which was unfit for purpose, Chris founded OffPOD. What initially started as an idea to provide quality customer service while utilising space in the home quickly became a mission to overhaul the customer experience of those looking to enhance their home with one of OffPOD’s modular build systems.

Chris’ experiences has meant that OffPOD is able to source, build and deliver the best products in less time for less but it is his “Protect the Customer” mantra that will revolutionise property development.

Tom Mills

Tom has been an aeronautical engineer for Rolls-Royce for 10 years. Having obtained a degree in mechanical engineering Tom wanted to be at the forefront of innovation so realised his dream when he joined the largest aerospace company in the world. During his time at Rolls-Royce, he has performed a number of roles including managing the Test and Development department before transitioning into Product Support where he interfaced with some the company’s largest clients such as Boeing and Airbus..

For want of a better phrase, Tom brings the “Rolls-Royce service” to OffPOD. Having been trained in an environment where performance and safety is paramount and put before profit, Tom is the driving force of the design and quality of OffPOD's products. Always asking how we can improve and why we do things the way we do, Tom’s strong analytical skills, problem solving and ownership of responsibilities are the difference between OffPOD and its competitors.

Aaron Hulston

Aaron is an experienced commercial lawyer who trained and worked at Eversheds Sutherland before leaving to work for the London headquartered fintech, Thought Machine. Aaron has advised on, drafted and negotiated various commercial agreements for both government and private sector clients including many of the FTSE 100 and Fortune 100. His clients were in a number of sectors including diversified industrials, construction, retail, aviation and financial services and he has advised them in an array of areas including intellectual property, procurement, data privacy and other regulatory issues. His specialist experience is advising in the financial services sector on complex technology, digital and commercial transactions, with a focus on cloud services, AI, blockchain, open data and regulatory compliance. Having worked in many of the world’s jurisdictions his career has had a particular focus on Asia having lived and worked as a lawyer in China and being a speaker of Mandarin.

As someone who has spent his career working with industry disruptors, Aaron feels that the construction industry has not benefitted from the same levels of disruption as others. Having grown frustrated with conventional build processes and poor reliability Aaron sees OffPod as an opportunity to innovate and deliver to its customers
