The Directors

The Directors of OffPOD have over 70 years of combined experience across Law, Business Development, and Engineering, creating one of the most well-rounded teams in the industry.

A shared core value between all of the Directors is that we treat our customers ‘BETTER’ than how we would wish to be treated if in their shoes. We aim to underpromise and over-deliver wherever possible, ensuring that we avoid letting our clients down. With a huge emphasis on exceptional quality and an unmatched level of customer service, we have created a business whereby the process of having a Garden Room, Annex or House Extension built is as enjoyable as the final product, not to mention two to three times faster by utilising modular building methods.

The Birth of OffPOD

The founders, in the past had endured complete house renovations and extensions carried out via a host of different companies and tradesmen. They were shocked and disappointed by the quality of work carried out and the sheer lack of inconsistency about timescales quoted, changing prices and lack of communication. Both experienced days when workers simply wouldn’t turn up without any warning, days without calls being returned, tradesman starting at 9 am and leaving the job before lunchtime, work taking 4-5 times longer than initially quoted and snags or issues not rectified once the balance had been paid. What was even more surprising for them both was the fact that so many other people they spoke to were having similar issues. It became apparent that all of the issues they experienced were commonplace even when having work carried out by friends or referrals! Having looked into this they discovered that the industry was pretty much unregulated and as a result, it comes down to luck in terms of whom you have carry out the work. In an attempt to change this culture OffPOD was born.

The company's founders were also aware that even the initial timescales quoted seemed pretty slow and cumbersome, therefore researched what options were out there other than traditional build methods. This is when they discovered the steel frame modular build systems. As a result, OffPOD offers an improved product with a high level of customer service, with a fundamental aim of bringing change to the construction industry by utilising emerging modern building methods that are of superior quality and much quicker to install.

Having grown tired of unreliable tradesmen and traditional build methods, OffPOD was established to revolutionise the construction industry; customers have accepted compromises on timelines, price, and quality for too long.
